Tour the Haunted UNA Campus at Night

Don't miss this special fundraiser for UNA mascot, Leo III!

 

Explore the scenic and haunted campus of the first state-chartered college in Alabama. Starting at the Harrison Fountain, your guide, and University of North Alabama alumna, Debra Glass, will take you on a spine-chilling journey through the shadowed walkways and courtyards of UNA's most historic and haunted halls.

On The Haunted History of UNA Ghost Walk Tour you'll visit:

  • The Gothic Revival building which served as a Civil War hospital where the victims still haunt the living.

  • The infamous courtyard where a UNA treasurer met a grisly fate.

  • An antebellum mansion where mysterious spirits drove students and employees away.

  • The home of a child ghost who suffered a tragic death.

  • and much more!

All of the needs of Leo III, including his food, day-to-day care and habitat upkeep, is donation- and volunteer-based. All monies raised go toward meeting the greatest needs and emerging priorities in caring for Leo III. We are grateful for those who support our live lion mascot, Leo III.

All gifts to the Leo and Una fund are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable.*

The lion habitat has both indoor and outdoor areas for Leo, and was built based on the Association of Zoos and Aquariums guidelines. No state or university money can be used for the care and feeding of Leo, so your support is extremely important.
